Carpool
in Slovakia
Slovakia stretches from Bratislava to Užhorod, about 500 km by motorway. Train and bus cover the same route in 5 hours. Carpooling is the third option: you join a driver who's already heading that way, agree on a pickup spot in chat, and skip the trek to the main station.

How it works
The driver adds their route: when they're going, from where to where, how many seats are free, and at what price. The passenger picks a ride, sends a request, and the driver confirms it. Before departure, you agree in chat on the exact pickup location.
The price isn't a Wandride tariff, each driver sets it themselves. In Slovakia, short domestic transfers (Bratislava → Trnava, Žilina → Martin) run around €5–8, longer routes like Bratislava → Košice around €25. Wandride doesn't take a commission from the payment. The transaction is between driver and passenger.
In addition to passenger transport, you can also send a parcel along the route in cargo mode (S/M/L/XL). This makes sense if you don't need express next-day courier delivery and just want a low-cost alternative.
Frequently asked questions
What's the difference between carpool and regular taxi?
A taxi driver goes only for you and you pay the entire fare. With carpool, the driver is heading that way regardless. You just join in and split the fuel cost with them and other passengers. Carpool is therefore typically 3–5× cheaper than a taxi on the same route.
Do I need to register to book a seat?
Yes, registration is required so the driver knows who they're confirming the booking for and who they communicate with before departure. Registration is free and takes less than a minute.
What if the driver cancels at the last minute?
Before departure you'll receive a push notification about the cancellation. The driver needs to keep their profile clean. Frequent cancellations lower their rating and other passengers will notice. Profile ratings are the main lever a passenger has against an unreliable driver.
Can I, as a driver, offer regular routes?
Yes. If you drive Bratislava → Žilina every Friday evening, you can add the route as recurring and passengers reserve their seats for a specific date. Useful for students and people working in a different city than they live.
