Cross-border carpool to Slovakia (over the Tatras) and Czechia (through the Moravian Gate) connects Polish workers, students and travellers across the V4 region.

Most popular routes in Poland

Routes Warsaw ↔ Kraków, Kraków ↔ Katowice, Warsaw ↔ Wrocław, Katowice ↔ Wrocław and cross-border Kraków ↔ Bratislava, Katowice ↔ Žilina will be available soon. We're gradually adding detailed pages with prices, travel times and tips for each route.

How it works

The driver adds their route: when they're going, from where to where, how many seats are free, and at what price. The passenger picks a ride, sends a request, and the driver confirms it. Before departure, you agree in chat on the exact pickup location.

The price isn't a Wandride tariff, each driver sets it themselves. Wandride doesn't take a commission from the payment. The transaction is between driver and passenger.

In addition to passenger transport, you can also send a parcel along the route in cargo mode (S/M/L/XL). This makes sense if you don't need express next-day courier delivery and just want a low-cost alternative.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need a passport between Poland and Slovakia or Czechia?

No, all three countries are in the Schengen Area. An ID card is enough, there are no border checks.

What currency is used?

In Poland it's the złoty (PLN), in Slovakia the euro, in Czechia the koruna. The driver and passenger agree the currency in chat. Cross-border rides are usually quoted in euros or złotys.

What's the typical departure window?

The most common rides are Friday afternoons (towards Poland) and Sunday evenings (returning). On weekdays, mainly commuters to Katowice industrial parks and students travelling to Kraków.

Can I send a parcel across the border?

Yes. Wandride has cargo mode S/M/L/XL. A parcel via a driver is often faster and cheaper than a courier company. Within Schengen, no customs paperwork is needed.
