Cookie Policy

Wandride uses cookies and similar tracking technologies on its website and mobile applications (the "platform"). This Policy explains how we use these technologies and what choices you have.
This Policy complies with: • EU Regulation 2016/679 (GDPR) • Directive 2002/58/EC (ePrivacy), amended by Directive 2009/136/EC • National data protection laws of EU member states where Wandride operates
1. What is a cookie and what are similar tracking technologies?
A cookie is a small text file that your web browser stores on your device (computer, phone, tablet) when you visit a website. In addition to cookies, Wandride uses other technologies — such as pixels, tracking scripts, or SDKs (development tools for mobile apps). These are small files or lines of code that record your interaction with the platform. In this Policy, all these technologies are referred to collectively as "cookies".
2. Who places cookies on our platform?
Cookies are placed either by us (first-party cookies) or by our partners (third-party cookies). Our main partners are: • Supabase — authentication and session management (required for sign-in) • Mapbox — map rendering and geocoding • Google Ads (gtag.js) — measuring the effectiveness of our advertising campaigns
3. What types of cookies do we use?
a) Necessary cookies
These cookies are essential for the platform to function. They allow you to log in, search for rides, make bookings, and protect your account from security risks. Without them, the platform cannot operate and they cannot be disabled. User consent is not required (GDPR Art. 6(1)(f)). Examples: Supabase auth session token, language preference, CSRF protection.
b) Functional & analytics cookies
Help us understand how you use the platform and optimise its functioning — for example, which pages are most visited and which features are most useful. They help us improve the experience. If you reject them, the platform will still work, but we will not be able to optimise your experience.
c) Advertising & measurement cookies
We use them to measure the effectiveness of our Google Ads campaigns — to see whether a visitor came to the platform through our advertisement. Wandride does NOT display any third-party advertisements on its platform. If you reject these cookies, the platform will function fully — you will only affect the accuracy of our campaign measurement (Google estimates this via modelled conversions).
4. How can you decide which cookies are used?
On your first visit, we display a Cookie banner. You can: • Accept all — allow all categories • Reject — allow only necessary cookies • Settings — choose individual categories Your choice is bound to the specific device and browser. If you use multiple devices, each can have a different setting. You can change your consent anytime via the "Cookie settings" link in the footer.
5. Retention period
We remember your cookie choice on your device until you change it in the cookie settings or clear your browser or app data. The lifetime of our partners' cookies is set by those partners.
6. Your rights under GDPR
Under GDPR (Art. 15–22) you have the right to: • access your personal data • rectify incorrect data • erase data ("right to be forgotten") • restrict processing • data portability • object to processing • lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority Submit a request via email to: support@wandride.com
7. Updates to this Policy
When we change how we use cookies, we update this Policy and indicate the date of the last update. Registered users will be notified of significant changes by email.
